  1. Re: Your "Out & About" Sledgehammer O' Possum Cartoon
It is my opinion that "Out and About" is the most brilliant animated short to have been produced in the last 45 years, and that it is the only modern cartoon in existence which is good enough to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the best animated shorts of the 40s and 50s. I could go on all day about how brilliantly timed and animated it is, and how the gags and the way in which you execute them manifest how much of a genius you are. I have one small question about the dog: after the iris-out, does he finally manage to escape his screwy tormentor and live happily ever after? I would sleep better at night if he did, as I feel so very sorry for him :)

  3. Jan, thank you very much for all the kind, and extremely flattering, words about my cartoon OUT AND ABOUT. Makes me feel very glad that some of my work pleases others and makes them laugh-which is the main thing.

Don't worry too much about the dog. After all he's only a cartoon character.

    1. We should really just relax!

On some level, Sledgehammer doesn't get any comeuppances the way Yuckie Duck did in his cartoons. Perhaps that's what Jan was looking for if the dog managed to get his revenge within the last few seconds.

  4. I started to like a little more of Roger Rabbit after I discovered that you've worked doing Roger Rabbit shorts with Bill Kopp

    1. I think I still have my old LaserDisc release of the shorts (as Trail Mix-Up had to have whatever done to one measly background shot blurred so we couldn't read the ad on the calendar).
